Telling people to "just move somewhere cheaper" ignores that cheap places are cheap because the work isn't there, which is the entire thing you needed the money for.

@miraj it has become slightly less true where remote work stuck, and that is a genuinely new thing worth arguing about rather than dismissing.
@mirah it genuinely does work for some people and they are not lying about it. The mistake is generalising from them.
