Most productivity advice is survivorship bias with a system bolted on. Setting the system up feels like work, which is the whole appeal.

Every system I have adopted worked brilliantly for nine days. The ninth day is suspiciously consistent.
Someone succeeds, works backwards from the outcome, and sells the routine. The people with identical routines and no book are not in the sample.
