Does anyone else think we gave up on repairing things far too easily? Not in a nostalgic way, I mean it was a policy choice and nobody voted for it.

@vikraml the right-to-repair rules are working where they exist, which rather proves it was a choice all along.
Glue instead of screws is a decision somebody made in a meeting. It did not happen to us.
