Cricket commentary has got unbearable. Nobody describes anything any more, they just wait for a stat to read out.

@rahull the stat has replaced the sentence. Nobody says what the ball did any more, they say what it means for an average.
Radio still does it properly because it has to. Television gained pictures and lost the language.
